THE LAST WILD RIVERS OF THE WORLD
5-part documentary series (52‘/43‘)

The last wild rivers on Earth are disappearing and with them, entire worlds.
Our five-part documentary series journeys along the most spectacular and untouched waterways across five global regions, uncovering their hidden wonders:
How the white-throated toucan in Peru’s Marañón River basin helps shape an entire ecosystem; why rivers serve as “green highways” for countless species; and how Indigenous communities have lived in harmony with these vital arteries for centuries.
Told from the perspective of the rivers themselves, the series takes us from glacial springs to thundering waterfalls, through winding floodplains to the mouths where freshwater meets the sea.
Along the way, one truth becomes clear: wild rivers are not only mesmerising natural spectacles, but also the last fully functioning lifelines of our planet which are now under grave threat from dams, mining, and climate change.
