Experts and researchers from various disciplines are collaborating across Europe to test innovative measures aimed at combating and preventing forest fires more effectively.

Pilot regions are being networked, new techniques deployed, and training provided to prepare particularly vulnerable areas, such as central and southwestern France, northwestern Spain, and Brandenburg, for the consequences of climate change.
